Homework

Every week students are expected to read to complete their monthly book report.  They are expected to present a book report once a month using the various presentation choices. The choices are down below as a pdf.

Every week they receive vocabulary that we will be covering in their reading and are expected to have a definition and a story using all the words. At the end of each quarter there will be a quiz over all the words for that quarter.  Students are also taught a skill a week and are assessed on that skill on Friday.   Students also have a grammar assignment due each week in NoRedInk and a comprehension quiz due in Read Theory.
Once a month starting in September they will have a book report due.  Please make sure to sign their agendas and progress reports every Tuesday.
We offer after school tutoring for any 7th grade student.  They can come for 20-60 minutes every Tuesday and Thursday to get help or just to get their homework done.

Second Quarter we are reading The Giver in class.  Kids will have quizzes on Friday over the vocabulary from those chapters as well as questions from the story.  They may borrow the book overnight if they want to make sure they are keeping up.
